“We continue our Foundation projects, which are shaped in line with the social needs of our country, without slowing down. With the 'Coding Tomorrow' project, which we have successfully carried out in collaboration with the Habitat Association for 8 years, we have reached over 400,000 children. Building on this success, we have initiated the 'Artificial Intelligence Stars' project. Our goal is to equip young generations with advanced technological skills, enabling them to learn and utilize artificial intelligence, a technology prevalent in every field today, thereby merging their creative ideas with new innovations. The committee members selected for this project will provide invaluable support through their insights and suggestions on content development, event planning, and project dissemination. By incorporating a multi-thinking system into this project, we have created a platform enriched by diverse stakeholder contributions. As the Vodafone Foundation, we are committed to continuing our efforts to secure a bright future for the younger generations.”
Emre Koyuncu, Chairman of the Board of the Habitat Association , stated:
“We are rightfully proud and delighted to continue the 'Coding Tomorrow' project, which we initiated with the Vodafone Foundation 8 years ago, under the new name 'Artificial Intelligence Stars.' Within the scope of this project, we are providing artificial intelligence awareness and productive AI usage training to middle and high school students across every corner of our country. We understand that in the coming years, AI literacy will become as crucial as traditional literacy. The Project Committee, which has convened to develop AI education programs, will significantly enhance our efforts in creating and disseminating our training content. In the first year of the project, we aim to educate over 35,000 students in 81 provinces about artificial intelligence, one of the most essential skills of the 21st century, with the support of the Project Committee. We extend our deepest gratitude to the committee. As the Habitat Association, we will continue our efforts to reach more students in the fields of digital transformation and artificial intelligence.”
First Year Target: 35,000 Students
As part of the "Artificial Intelligence Stars" project, AI training will be provided to middle school students aged 11-14 and high school students aged 14-18 across Turkey's 81 provinces. Conducted under the guidance of young volunteers and teachers, these trainings will offer students a comprehensive understanding of artificial intelligence and the opportunity to develop their own projects. The project will also present various development opportunities to participating youth through global content and events. The AI training sessions will be held in 45 village technology classrooms, 10 "These Waste Write Code" classrooms, 3 AI classrooms, 4 container technology classrooms, and a mobile training tent that will visit 12 provinces. The goal for the first year of the "Artificial Intelligence Stars" project is to reach a total of 35,000 students. Additionally, an AI book has been prepared to help young people learn both fundamental concepts and advanced knowledge in artificial intelligence.
